Jade Blackstock

Jade's practice explores dialogues and questions of the body and identity, particularly their connections with historical, cultural and personal events and experiences. Her work seeks to reclaim expression of the body and self, with elements of spectacle, intervention and social commentary. She focuses on ritual, race and blackness, feminism, ownership and loss. Through live performances, actions and images, she combines the use of bodies with the narrative qualities of perishable materials.
