The Rising: 


The second edition of The Rising we will be teaming up with Live Art UK’s Diverse Actions initiative to extend & expand the opportunity available to artists. This Rising will include one week's studio residency to develop artistic practice, a platform event (Saturday 18th November) and a culminating week of professional development with guest lectures & sessions. 


The Rising give selected artists the time, space and required resources to

try out new work and explore the edges of their craft. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the new

The opportunity is only available to performance artists who identify as Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic.

£500 bursary

Orinta Pranaityte

was born in Klaipeda, Lithuania in 1991. Pranaityte is a body based performance artist, but also works with video art and sound combinations. Pranaityte is currently studying an MA Fine Art course at the University of Lincoln, UK. Image credit: Kieran Hill.
